False Prophets  | Christian False Teachers Today

ProphetsForPeace.com exists to expose false prophets today by looking to the definition of prophet to discover what a false prophet vs a true prophet really is, and explores the word’s relationship to Christianity.

WHO ARE THE TRUE & FALSE PROPHETS TODAY? Before we can answer what a false prophet is, we must know the definition of prophet. A prophet is etymologically ‘someone who speaks for someone else’ and the word literally means ‘spokesman’. The Greek translators of the Bible adopted (assumed) the word prophet into Christian usage, frequently implying it to mean ‘one who interprets the will of the gods to humans’, but that is not the original definition of prophet. Prophet and prophecy are derived from the root word propheta, meaning fable, fame, fate. Source: Dictionary of Word Origins, by John Ayto. By implication, a prophet is someone who spreads the legend, reputation, destiny, words, or teachings of another, like the Christians do regarding Christ. Who besides them could be called His spokesmen?

false prophet is therefore, anyone who misspeaks, misinterprets, or misrepresents the words, teachings, or reputation of another (a slanderer), knowingly or not. In the adopted (assumed) Christian sense, all spiritual, mystical, and religious teachers, leaders, disciples, preachers, ministers, pastors, priests, popes, rabbis, gurus, monks, disciples, anyone who claims to know and teach the will of God, is either a true prophet or a false prophet, there is no middle ground, for the truth (about anything) has only ONE reality. A false prophet is anyone who spreads lies about another (especially Christ or God), even if they BELIEVE what they are saying to be true. It is obvious that when Jesus spoke of false prophets, He was speaking about those who were and would be misrepresenting Him and His teachings. Jesus said to the disciples (His students) at the founding of Christianity,

But false prophets were also among the people, as also false teachers will be among you (disciples), who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, and denying the Master who has bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves, and MANY will follow their (the Christian false prophets) destructive ways, BY WHOM THE WAY OF TRUTH WILL BE EVIL SPOKEN OF (Christianity will say the real way of truth, going within to find and know God and the Kingdom of Heaven, is evil). And by covetousness, with well-turned words, they will use you for gain. -2 Peter 2:1-3

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. -Luke 17:21

Wisdom can only be obtained through the diligent seeking of truth. To discover the truth about Christ’s teachings, start with an earnest prayer to be guided to the truth, and ask that no man lead you astray. Then study the origin of Jesus’ words using the purest, unadulterated, most literal translation of The Holy Bible (and other gospels)  you can find,  a Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, and a book on word etimology. Words are symbols for meanings and meanings change and evolve with society. What a word infers to one person is not necessarily what it implies to another. This makes careful investigation critical when attempting to decipher the intended teachings of Christ and the first Christian prophets, the disciples (pupils of Jesus). When studying scripture, do not rely on your own knowledge regarding the words you are reading and their meanings. Instead, explore what they meant in the languageculture, and time the teachings were being given. Finding the source of the words will vastly expand your comprehension and awareness, and open the door to communion with Wisdom.

You have to be willing to seek and not stop seeking, to put seeking God’s truth first in your life, in order to find the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus said,

Whoever searches will find. It will be opened (completely obvious) to him” …and… Whoever drinks from my mouth (language) will be as I am, and I shall be that person, and the hidden things will be revealed to that person. -The Gospel of Thomas

For generations Christianity has sanctified men to go out and spread their false interpretations of Christ’s teachings about God’s will to the masses.  They compete for regions and obedience to their doctrines, and in legions march out proclaiming and defending their own (multiple) brands of faith, enlisting others to their cause and amassing great wealth.  Christianity is in the business of selling “the way” to salvation, and is one of the biggest rackets in the world.

Christians claim to be the true prophets of Christ, but there are a reported 38,000 different denominations of Christianity because they disagree over the interpretation of His teachings, thus it is full of false prophets.  James said, “Where jealousy and contention (difference of opinion) are, there is confusion and every foul deed.” There can be only ONE TRUTH, all other interpretations are false prophecies. Which one of the thousands of Christian denominations or millions of Christian teachers do YOU look to for truth? Continued here: Christianity & False Prophets
